Whats the best way to travel 750 miles with a 3 month old?

We are going to take a road trip that normally would only take 12 hours by ourselves, but now that we have a wonderful baby girl, we are not sure what the best way to go about this is.

How long is too long in the car for her... 5 hrs? 8 hrs? (with feeding and changing breaks of course)

I just don't feel that comfortable leaving her in that car seat all that time, wont she get too sweaty and stiff or sore?Whats the best way to travel 750 miles with a 3 month old?
If she's like most 3 month olds, she'll sleep most of the way. Don't worry so much, she'll sleep, believe me.Whats the best way to travel 750 miles with a 3 month old?
i agree that a road trip isnt a good idea for a three month old...i would wait maybe two months and then ride a plane.
Take a plane! ;)
She will probably sleep as comfortably in the car as anywhere
My family evacuated to Arkansas from New Orleans for a hurricane a few years ago. My son was 4 months old, and he did just fine in the car. It was about an 8 hour trip. We did make more stops, but for the most part, he slept the entire time. She'll be fine in the car, I think. Just keep the air on, obviously, and put her in a onesie or something lightweight so you can determine whether you need it cooler or if she needs a blanket. Good luck!
A 3 month old is not walking yet so a stop to let them get out and stretch is not yet needed but.....they should be in need of feeding every 3 to 4 hours. Feeding time is also bonding time so it would be good to stop at that time for at least 30 minutes for this. Even though they are not walking they will still get sore after 3 or 4 hours and need movement and stimulation. Babys tend to sleep better at night so traveling at night would be the best choice plus traffic is usually less anyway. My husband and I were in the service for 8 yrs and had 2 children during those years starting with a newborn. We always traveled at night even as they got older because it was there normal time to sleep and it worked out really well.
A shorter travelling time would be better but still, there shouldn't be a problem travelling on the road for that long period.

Do make sure that your baby is kept cool, do feed her on time and make sure she is hydrated.
Oh Darlin! Boy are you in for it LOL We just took my son (3 months at the time) who is normally a lovely happy little child on his first road trip from FL to NY. He is now deathly afraid of that carseat %26amp; everytime we put him in it he screams thinking he's going to be in it forever. We had to stop at almost EVERY exit because he wouldn't stop crying %26amp; would not eat. It was very rough, unless the trip is necessary to drive, I'd fly. We vowed never to drive like that ever again, we're going to fly. I have no advice really cuz everything we tried didn't work. I'm sorry I'm no help :(
When my daughter was 3 months old we moved from Kansas City to Virginia Beach, a 1200 mile drive. We stopped every few hours to feed her and change her diaper, get her out of the carseat and let her air out, and she was just fine with that. So, your baby girl ought to be all right. She may get whiney because she can't move strapped in there, but as long as you don't keep her there for like 5 or 6 hours straight, there shouldn't be an issue. :)
