How do I change a broken subfloor?

There's just one piece that's damaged and I need to change it but....how do you change it??How do I change a broken subfloor?
Cut the broken piece out to the floor studs so that you have 2 studs to screw into. Easiest to cut so you can have a square or rectangle so it will be easy to measure/place your new piece. Screw a new piece into the studs.

You might run into problems depending on what you are putting over the repair. If you are laying new, full sheets of plywood over the whole floor this should do the trick, if not you might have a weak spot on the floor. How do I change a broken subfloor?
you have to cut it out if it's not the full sheet. use a circular saw adjusted to the depth of you sub floor. look where the nails are along the joists and cut the bad section out making sure you do not cut on the opposite side of the nails holding the good piece down. measure the opening, make sure you have the right thickness for replacement, and nail or scew the piece in. if you need to, you can secure 2x4's to the joists as needed to make sure you have enough to attatch your sub floor to. if it's a full sheet, it's easier to cut it into smaller pieces to remove.
Most of the time, you can measure, and, cut another joist. Cut it just a hair short. Slip it into place right next to the damaged one. Nail off with 16d nails.
when you cut the damaged piece out halfway on each floor joist and put the new piece in I would use PL400 or construction glue (there the tubes that can be used in a caulk gun or the big glue guns) on the joist and on all edges of the plywood. Because the plywood has a tounge and groove for a reason. It will make it alot stronger.
