How can i fix a broken caliper bolt ?

i was changing the breaks on my car and the caliper bolt snapped in half, we got a easy out but we can't drill deep enough into the bolt to get it to work. are there any other things we can do to fix this? How can i fix a broken caliper bolt ?
Wish you'd have included the year make and model of your car. On some cars calipers are fastened directly on the spindles, in which case the spindle will need to be removed from the car and taken to a mechanic or machine shop for the broken bolt to be removed. You could also go to an automotive ';bone-yard'; and pick up another wheel spindle.

If your lucky your calipers are bolted to an intermediate frame (brake caliper bracket) which can be removed from the spindle by loostening and removing two bolts. This part is relatively inexpensive or you can take it to a mechanic or machine shop for repair. How can i fix a broken caliper bolt ?
I would try using a smaller easy out. I would try to use a smaller easy out to remove the bolt. If you can get a smaller easy out you can drill a smaller hole in the bolt and the smaller hole might be able to reach deeper into the bolt allowing for the easy out to grasp onto the bolt and remove it.

If that fails to work then i would try using a drill bit almost the size of the bolt. You could drill out the middle of the bolt completely and then peal out the part that is covering over the threads.

Good luck.
The EZ Out is the tool you need and you'll likely need to get a good steel rated drill bit. Try heating the assembly with a torch for a short time as the expansion contraction can sometimes break them loose. Mechanics often use Lock-Tite on those bolts and the heat will also help with breaking that bond. Good Luck
Buy a rebuilt caliper.

It will come with everything new.

Consider replacing the other caliper on that axle also. An old and a new caliper will react differently and might cause brake pulling.
Only way to get it out is to bring it to a machine shop. They may be able to get it out or they will re-tread another hole for you, you just have to change that bolt size.
buy better drills and drill it out...

DO NOT use an easy out cos if its snaps you will not get it out....if its an m12 bolt drill it out at 11mm and tap a new thread in...
i'd recommend just changing out the whole assembly.
if it broke in half then see if you can use vise grips on it and take the half pieces out.
I doubt if you'll drill out the bolt because they're hardened. Exchange caliper is easiest fix
Heat it gently with a torch. Round the bolt not on it.
