Can anyone help me? i dont really know how to answer this-confused?

Erosion-wearing away and removal of rock material that occures by agents such a gravity, ice, wind and water

Weathering-natural mechanical or chemical process that causes rocks to change be breaking them down and causing them to crumble

Whats the difference between Erosion and weathering? Can anyone help me? i dont really know how to answer this-confused?

will help to clarify.

It's quite a subtle difference, which lies in the concept of 'movement'. Weathering involves no movement of the rock. Eroded rock in a river, for example, breaks off into tiny pieces which are carried elsewhere. Rock weathered by frost (so that it splits and flakes off) falls where the original rock lies.
